Default Menu Screen Stuck

2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT
My husband just changed my spark plugs and something else. Anyway… Put it all back together but my little screen is locked. Can’t get it to do anything.
Any advice??

It is stuck in this. Buttons on steering wheel won’t change it

This just happened to us last night when we stopped for gas. We had it set to display the speed and everything was working fine before. Then, when we started the vehicle, it just automatically switched to this menu and the buttons on the steering wheel won’t let us change anything else. We tried to turn the vehicle off and on but no corrections. I thought about disconnecting the positive battery terminal for a few minutes to allow the vehicle to reset but not sure what second and third order effects this might cause. The cruise control side still works just fine. Have you received any guidance?

Default Found a fix

So this is going to seem dumb but…. I think I found a solution for this. May not be THE solution, but it fixed our 2019 dodge grand caravan menu being stuck problem.

I removed the screw on the back of the steering wheel directly behind the cluster, it was a small Star bit, and then I was able to wiggle the cluster on the front of the steering wheel loose enough to disconnect the electrical connector and remove the whole cluster from the steering wheel. I was looking on eBay for the part in anticipation of just getting a replacement one, which I found one for $35. However, I was curious if an I.T. solution would work (“have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in”). So I plugged it back in and the buttons started working again!

like I said. Not sure if this would work for everyone but it worked for us so. Give it a try and see if it helps. If not eBay has replacements for fairly cheap if you dig around.
