Changed the oil on our 2011 Grand Caravan and the oil filter bypass value flew out and shot across the garage. Got a new one and when trying to remove the bottom plastic parts they crumbled like a stale cookie and went down into the abyss and I cannot retrieve them.
Tried to suck them out with the wet/dry vac with no luck. Now I'm worried.
I've added a picture of the spring and top part that flew out, the bottom crumbled and is gone.
Will these brittle plastic parts lost below the oil filter hurt my motor in the old van?
