I have a 2019 Caravan GT. The backup camera intermittently has a black screen. I've noticed that when I either turn the ignition to run or start the vehicle and shift to reverse the screen will show the backup camera as it should. The next time I turn the ignition to run or start the van, the backup screen will be blank with just the message about checking the area. When this happens, I will turn the van off. Open and close the door to make sure no accessories are running. After 1 minute and 15 seconds I can start the van and the backup camera will work fine. As long as I keep the van running, I can shift to reverse and the screen works. But as soon as I turn the van off and back on, the backup camera screen is black again. All other functions of the radio are not affected when the backup screen is black. I have ran through this cycle and timed how long I have to wait for the screen to work about 50 times after I noticed the pattern. A loose connection or blown fuse would not cause this. I have pulled all fuses that are related to the radio and backup camera and disconnected the negative terminal on battery for 30 minutes to see if I could reset the radio. Has anyone seen something like this?
