Default very strange noise

We have owned and enjoyed many Chrysler produced min-vans. Our current 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan SE (150K miles) has been making this strange noise that I have never heard before in any vehicles I have owned. It has been happening infrequently over the past six month but happens more frequently as time has gone by. It is best descried as a moan, not a squeak or rattle, not a vibration or knocking. No dashboard warning light has been illuminated, and it has never affected the way the car runs in any way. The only constant is, the engine must be running. Doesn't matter if A/C is on or off and the van can be in motion or stopped at a stop sign or in Park in a parking lot It seems to originate under the hood right side, but sometime seems to come from under the van, beneath the front seats (in this location, you can feel a slight vibration in floor) and sometimes it will sound coming from the right rear. The moan can be loud and heard outside the vehicle. Occupants of the vehicle have also heard it,
Recently, we drove the van to a wedding, including 60 miles at interstate speeds. We heard the moan a few times. The return trip was in the pouring rain, and we lost the power steering as we jumped onto the interstate, just after making a quick U-turn. We were relieved because we never heard the awful sound all the way home and we felt the power steering was the source of it. But sadly, the power steering was working the next day when I drove to the mechanic, so he changed the PS Fluid and cleaned the filter in the reservoir and now the moaning has returned. Our frustration has also returned. Any suggestions out there please?
