Default Stuck caliper

I have replaced my rear passenger caliper and it won't fully retract. I've replaced the rear hose, bled all the lines extensively and checked the proper amount of fluid in the master cylinders. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

It's a new caliper and the piston won't push all the way back in? Will it contract if you disconnect the hose? Don't new calipers come with the piston already fully inside the cylinder bore? Can you post a photo?

Thank you for replying. I took the caliper back off and turned the piston in then reinstalled it. After pushing the brake again it came out as expected but then didn't retract but only a few thousandths. The rotor spun but not completely freely after letting off the brake. I expected it to retract a little more. I disconnected the emergency brake to see if it was affecting it not going in far enough but it didn't change anything. I adjusted the piston on the opposite side (left rear) to match and it moved about the same as the right rear except it was easier to spin the rotor after letting off the brake. I test drove it some and the rotor on the right rear was as little warmer than the left rear which tells me it's not completely correct. I plan to drive it farther to see if the right rear rotor is getting too hot.

You're welcome, and I'm sorry that this forum has very few replies if any at all. I'm a moderator on another forum for a different make of car and you would have had several responses by several people on that forum by now. Not sure why this forum has such little traffic. I've posted a couple of different threads asking for opinions/help and got a whole lot of nothing in response.

Hmmm......something doesn't sound right with your calipers. I've rebuilt calipers before, and the piston just inserts into the cylinder bore and you can push it in with a piece of wood to apply even pressure. A new caliper should have the pistons already fully in the bore, so that doesn't make sense to me. Can you post a photo if you take the pads off again?

Yes I will if I have to take them off again. Going to take it for a long ride today to check the temperature of the rear rotors with very little brake use. I'll let you know how it goes today.
