I have a problem with my 2004 6 cylinder Dodge Caravan. The check engine light came on. I borrowed a scanner and it said: P0171 System too Lean Bank 1. The car is off and on idling and accelerating rough and hesitating. All of this has happened in the last two days. Is there anything that I can try before spending the big bucks at the dealer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Do you have single or dual fuel rails? By code indicated, you have a problem of not getting enough fuel to the cylinders on the driver side.

 

Check your fuel pressure at the rail.
