Default Gassing up in cold weather

I have an 01 Grand Caravan, 3.8 liter, 126k miles. When the outside temperature drops below 45 degrees (that's cold for Central Texas!!) I have a hard time putting in fuel. It acts as if there is a blockage in the fill neck. The neck actually fills up and overflows. The pump nozzle kicks off after about a gallon, then I can only add very slowly. I can't set the filler nozzle even on the first latch. I have to hold the nozzle and let the fuel trickle in. As soon as the weather warms up, no problem. Seems as if air is not evacuating during the fill process.

Any ideas? I'm having to watch the weather guy pretty close and make sure I'm full before the temp drops. What a pain....

Try not inserting the fill nozzle all the way into the filler neck.I don't know how cold temps would effect this but this can help.
