Recently got a 99 Caravan. The tailgate rattles a little and I can't see how to adjust it. Any advice?

 

On my '94 there was a recall to install something that prevents the rear hatch from coming open in a collision. After the recall fix the hatch rattled. When I inspected it I found the mechanic had not reinstalled a plastic fastener that holds the interior panel to the rear lift gate. I replaced the fastener and the rattle went away. Maybe the same or similar thing is your problem.

Mine was rattling yesterday, stopped to try to figure out why. In my van's case, it turned out to be not the lift door, but the jack had come slighlty loose in it's cubby. Put it back in properly, and the rattling from the back went away. It's worth checking, unless of course you don't have your jack in the cubby lol.
