Hi all,

I'm trying to help my mom out with her 91' Caravan. It wseems the boots on the rack and pinion were shot. I replaced the boots and still seem to have a leak.

The questions is... There is a little tube at the lower end of each boot where low-pressure fluid pumps into the boot. Am I correct in this assumption? The replacement boots came with zip-ties to secure them. They were worthless and I replaced them with steel crimp-on bands.

probably time for a new rack. The boots are just to protect the rods from salt and dirt. Sounds like the rack is leaking.
