Can enyone tell me if a Transmission from a 1991 Caravan 3.3 litre will work in a 1998 caravan 3.0 litre. Both transmissions are 3 speed automatics.

Sorry, they will not interchange. Castings for the cases are very different between the two motors. Nost of the Internals and hard parts of the 2 transmissions are probably the same minus a few upgrades.

Sorry but they are totally different transmissions.

The 3.3 only ever used the A604 (a606 in longitudal applications- but same difference).

The 3.0 did use either the 3 speed or a604, in both cases its a different bell housing and a trans for one engine wont bolt to the other.

 

You must be carefull when buy the Transmision if you are looking for an used one. Because my parents own a 1998 Dodge Carvan Sport 3.3L V6 and they bouhgt it with the broken transmision, so we had a Hard time trying to find the transmision and when we finaly found it was no good since it had water, After that my father had bouhgt about 3 transmision. the last we got it rebuilt, so far it have been working very good.
