Hello, I have a 93 Grand Caravan, 3.3, 273,000 miles, and I am having a weird brake problem. When you put your foot on the pedal it has some much pressure against it it wont move. Not like a bad booster ( which I checked for) where you can force it down, I mean you can't move it at all. Had it took to Dodge dealer, said 1800 bucks for ABS system repairs, can I disable the ABS and drive with regular brakes? I have heard of this, but I am not aware of the correct proceedures.

Thanks, Dave

Try removing the fuse for the ABS.You can drive with the ABS disabled.

So, just removing the standard fuse in the box under the dash will cut off ABS, and all of its quirks ?

Thanks, Dave

i remove the fuse on mine, for some reason when you hit the brakes like to come to a nice stop, not slamming on them, the abs will kick on & i would lose most of my braking power, i almost rear ended a few people, so i pulled the fuse, before i'm even out of my neighborhood it relaizes it, kicks the ABS light on, & i'm on my marry way, plus i prefer normal brakes anyways
