Default electrical problem

I have an 02 Grand Caravan Sport. My trouble started a couple months ago. I would be driving and sudenly the gages would stop working, the odometer would stop adding miles and all the dashboard lights would come on. they would stay on for a few minutes and then everything would go back to normal. This happened a few times and then it happened and never went back to normal. shortly after that the van began getting hard to start. I would start for a couple seconds and then shut off. Now when I turn the key I get nothing. No clicking , the motor does not try to crank at all. I replaced the ignition switch and it made no difference. If anyone knows what might be causing this problem please let me know. thanks in advance.

Default RE: electrical problem

I had somewhat the same problem but a little different. My dash would go all crazy my radio would turn off, but my car never died due to the problem. You might want to check the power cable the comes from the fuse box. Its connected right on the battery. try cleaning the terminals on the battery and the wire connector. GOOD LUCK!!
