Default Rear clunking/rattle

Ok i have a 97 GC awd SE. I have been hearing a rattling sound from the rear since i got the van. I first though shocks being that it had 114000 so i had shocks and struts replaced. still noise so a year later and a 130000 now I'm sick of this noise the best way to describe it is sounds like door not closed all the way but they are. from the front sound like rear slider but when in the back with ear to floor and wife driving sound like coming from rear axles clunk clunk over the slightest bump. Could this be the rear CV's or some kind of bearing in rear diff? i climbed under there and muffler seems good nothing seems loose except on side of the axles has more play and inner cv moves some when pushing up where enter diif. Thanks for any info as ive been searching all over for other responses to this problem but have yet to find rear clunking all seem trouble up front and i already addresses those issues.

Have a 94 grand caravan, and it made that same clunking noise from the rear. Especially noticable going around bends, and it sounded almost like the tail-gate was shifting. If you put your ear to the floor, you could hear it real clear. Had the rear shackle bushings replaced (had to do the whole shackles cause my mecanic said he couldn't get just the bushings) and it is reall quiet. Wasn't cheap, about 70 a side + labor, but the silence is gratifying.

Hope I helped

AWD minivans are equipped with load leveling rear shocks. There is a TSB on the issue of the shock bushings going bad. Replace the rear shock bushings are you will be good to go!

Hi
How easy are the rear shocks to get off?
Mine is Front WD only.
