Default camshaft position sensor location in voyager 97

hi there, i was told the camshaft position sensor is located inside the distributor, is this correct? i have some doubts about it
voyager 97 3.0 with distributor and code DTC P0340, service light on
thanks

Yes, this is in the distributor. Have not seen this to go bad.

Ive never seen one go bad either, but anything is possible. It is inside the distributor, and the entire distributor has to be disassembled to replace it.

I think the PO340 can also be caused from the crank Sec. blimp. Pick up fart[sm=nothatway.gif]
Could pull Dist. and make sure gear pin is fine and bushing feels tight.
Reset,clear and wait?
