Recently I have noticed that when my fuel gauge begins to get down to an eighth of a tank I will begin to smell gas. It is really cold right now in NE Texas so I use the heat vent, and the smell blows through it. It had only been doing this when the tank got low but I filled up this morning and noticed when I got to work tonight I could smell it. I noticed it strongly while I was in the park position with the vent blowing, also could smell it outside of the vehicle after killing the engine and climbing out. I drive a 2000 Caravan. Any ideas??

 

Must be a dry rotted vapor hose somewhere by the fuel tank. Or it could be the fuel pump oring seal.
