Yep sway bar bushings are usually the culprit even when they LOOK fine change them. Cheap and easy to do.

Wife's noise has returned, this time it is the upper strut mounts for sure.
These two things are what causes this noise.

 

Have also heard of people saying it was the end links. I am sure it can be but 9/10 times it will be the sway bar to body bushings.
