I want to replace the lamps on the console in the headliner where the garage door opener and car door opener switches are. I'm curious if the cover plate just pops out or how exactly it's held in . I've tinkered with it mildly but tdon't want to break some expensive piece of plastic trying the wrong approach . At the dealership the schematic doesn't show them how to take it out either, I had a guy show me the blowup on the schematic and it's just not clear how to remove that console.

If this is an 96-01 with the full console.
There should be a screw in the remote control compartment.
The unit will swing down from a front hinge.
