Last week when the temperatures were really cold outside, i started the car and the oil light went crazy blinking and beeping. I put some oil in the car in hopes to solve the problem(i'm not a car guy) The blinking stopped but know i have a knocking noise when i start and when i accelerate. Any ideas?
The transmission fluid looks a little low too.
Woulda tune take care of it?

 

this is a tricky one as we can't here it
is it a ticking/tapping = valves rockers
low hard knock=lower crank/piston bearings
if its one of these no tune-up will fix it
rocker noise you could live with
bearing noise = get it looked at and fixed

 

Probably lower bearings, ran low on oil??If that is the case you will either have to rebuild the engine or replace it. If so, Id be interested in the van.
