My girlfriend's son blew up the 2.4L engine in her 98 Caravan. A local wrecking yard has a 2.4L engine from an Intrepid pretty cheap. Anyone know if the long block from the Intrepid will work? Do all the 2.4L's use the same long block?

After doing some checking I find out that the 2.4L was never used in the Intrepid, though it did use a 2.7L. The 2.4L was used in the Stratus/Cirrus line, so either the salvage place was wrong about the model or the engine won't fit.

After some additional research I find that the 2.4L EDZ engine was used in:
Chrysler Neon
Chrysler PT Cruiser
Dodge Stratus/Chrysler Cirrus/Chrysler Sebring/Plymouth Breeze
Dodge Caravan/Chrysler Voyager
Jeep Liberty
2003-2009 Jeep Wrangler
