hallo every one ....
ibought my car from 3 days ago(challenger srt8) and i got problem in my sound system .... here the problems

1- left speakers keeps turning on and off sometime.

2- my gig is switching by itself to the radio althogh the cd player is on .

ihope that can any body help

 

The speaker is probably the wire to the actual speaker. I have seen lots of posts about that on all of the dodge vehicle.

As far as the radio switching on it's own, that will have to be done at the dealer. Most likely needs reprogrammed or swapped out all together. Take it to the dealer and they can check the current software and update it.

Hopefully you bought it from a dodge dealer. Since it is only 3 days off the lot, they will take care of you because of warranty fast.

yeah, they will have to remove the door panel to get to the wire. If you are worried about possible damage, take a picture of the door before you take it in. When you get the car back, check the door, any marks? You have a picture to prove it was not there when it went in.

 

ihave just took my car from the delar they told me that they must to change the left speaker and they do update for the system but still the radio switch on it self

 

should be under warente if you just got it

 

Take it back and tell service manager for all the money you paid for it, you want it fixed ASAP.

 

God dangit, I hate those damn MYGIG radios. Nice idea, but the biggest trouble prone POS-es ever! IMO, carmakers need to stay out of the Hi-Fi business. Stick a basic turd radio in every car and let the customer do what they will.

In some 2011 models the radio is a gateway module for the (fault intolerant) interior BUS. Part of the Powernet system. Going to be some pissed off customers out there.

OP, make them replace it. You'll probably get a rebuilt one instead of new. Don't worry, it will have most of the bugs fixed.
