Yes, the ZF trans is coming. it will probably be use on V6 charger/callengers.
The Hemi will remain using the 5speed NAG1 or RFE trans because of the wide torque band, it doesn't need 8 spd trans, nor does it need one.
Maybe the 8speed will be used on SRT-8, rumor has it. However, I believe these trans are only rated 400 ft-lb torque, I am not sure if it is even a good idea to pair with V8.
And the Front wheel drive Vehicle such as Avenger and Sebring will be using the 6spd Dual Clutch Fiat trans. and the Caliber/compass/patriot line will remain using the Jetco CVT.
main reason for such trans selection is Fuel economy.
