Default Help - new Challenger owner

Hello - I the proud new owner of a 2012 Challenger RT -at 49 I've at last got my dream car! I have a question though - I found what appears to be an aftermarket OBD2 type plug installed just below the steering wheel. I've attached a picture if anyone might know what it is for.

Thanks again.

Looks like a valet switch for an aftermarket alarm.

Not knowing what the OBD 2 port looks like, but if it is the same OBD 2 port as being on the Challenger, it very well could be an extension for a 'tuner' > "Easier access". I really have not looked to verify the OBD 2 port as yet. I would imagine that you tested the pin area to see if the ports are active.

After much hair pulling, (thought I'd discovered something cool/free!) turns out to be the valet/disable system plug on a Kerr brand alarm system. These days, not cool.

Thanks anyways!
