Look at your fuse box diagram and find a fuse that's switched. Then use a fuse tap to tie into it.
The distribution box under the hood only has 3 fuses that do not have a hot terminal at all times. Of these 3 none of them have power when the ignition is in the run position. Perhaps the engine needs to be running for these circuits to be energized, they control critical functions like the PCM and coil packs so I'm hesitant to tap into any of them. The other option is the distribution box in the trunk near the battery but running wire from there to the front isn't all that appealing either.
Besides, the Oracle weather proof halos I bought are junk and I'm sending them back for a refund. So I guess I don't have an issue anymore! I would like have halo lighting on the car but really don't like the idea of removing the front of the car to do it, thought the weather proofs would be a better option...WRONG!
