Question Challenger RT 392 home Maintenance

Do you Challenger guys do your own maintenance at home. I'm talking about minor things like oil changes. They make some cars so difficult that you have to take them in.

I do my sons 2016 R/T. There’s a big plastic cover underneath that has to be removed to change the oil, otherwise it’s like any other car. Done a few other things too....painted calipers, strut tower brace.

Don't let the letters "SRT" and numbers "392" intimidate you. Doing stuff like that is no different than say doing it to a 5.7 car. Externally (dimension wise) the engines are identical. If it weren't for the intake manifold and the aforementioned letters and numbers you wouldn't even know. Like he said, remove the aft belly pan (there's two) and you free and easy access to everything.
