Hey everyone thanks to all who read my post. Just bought a 2012 dodge challenger srt and I was wondering what performance upgrades would
give the best result besides purchasing a supercharger

 

All around, straight line or handling performance? Cam and better heads is about all you can do to that engine short of boost. You could swap gears depending on what you have now (if you have manual trans then you're screwed lol). The 392 is pretty well optimized as a naturally aspirated engine. The Apache (392) heads are some of, if not the best cylinder heads Mopar has ever produced. You could get those ported and polished or get a set of Thiteks or Edelbrocks (neither is cheap, though the Eddy's are cheaper). Several vendors offer good cams that will either work with the engine's VVT or are so radical you have to lock the cam phaser. Of course the cam will require custom tuning.
Funny thing is, by the time money is spent on the parts and labor (unless you're doing all this yourself, and even then it'll be somewhat close) you could've gotten a complete DIY blower kit (like Edelbrock offers)....the 50 state version of this kit comes with a warranty and puts you north of 550hp to the wheels (roundabout 600hp at the crank).

You have the best factory handling setup for that car, only place you can go from there is aftermarket. I forget, do the 11-14 SRT Challengers have dual set sport mode shocks?
