What to do about bad service?
Recently I brought my 2013 challenger SXT to the local Dodge dealer in Baton Rouge LA for service. The handling was bad and needed alignment (pulled to the right) and the real issue, the car would not change gear till high RPM. During normal travel through town id be in probably 3rd gear then have to slow down quickly due to Baton Rouges excellent drives and the car would down shift and fail to upshift. It would often just rev till about 5-6K for a long moment before finally shifting or i would manual upshift it. I've been to my local mechanic and a transmission shop over this issue before but was told there was nothing wrong (no code) or they didn't know how to correct it. So i headed to the dodge dealer when i finally had some time to leave my car. Oh also i needed an oil change. Of course the first visit was "It doesn't have the shifting problem with us" they did the oil change and the alignment and i told them to try again on driving it. They noted the shifting issue on the second try and recommended a shifting module software update. so a little over $700 bucks later i take it home....still pulls to the right still shifts like S&%$. So i bring it back to the dealership after driving it for a week and they try again. The dealership installs a new shifting module and does the alignment again, $600ish bucks. Drive it away and immediately notice its still shifting wrong and the alignment is still off. Third try at the dealership, They want to open the transmission and inspect the valve body and check for metal. This will lead to the rather costly replacement of the transmission and I'm sure will still not correct the problem. They gave up on the alignment btw. So what do i do? i contacted dodge and got a case manager but received a conformation email in two weeks and I'm out about $1300 for and oil change and now my dealership rep is treating me like a bad penny. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
