So I have been visiting dealers to buy challenger GT or SXT. I emailed almost 50 dealers to get the quote. Almost all the dealers are charging cover charges or addendum charges on top of MSRP. Forget about getting a dealer discount. $3000 to $5000 more than the sticker price. Take it or leave it!
I managed to order GT from Austin ( 800 miles from where I live):
Sticker price $43405 (Fully loaded)
FFP: $41507
Dealer discount: $707
Rebate: $1500
OTD: $42172
3 to 4 months of waiting to get the delivery. In my opinion and research so far I think this is the best deal ever. Flying to Austin to drive it back. This is the 2021 car buying experience.
Please share your 2021 experience buying challenger.
(Note: Yes I know it is 'just a v6'. Could have bought GT for $32000 OTD but I added all packages and MSRP went to $43k)

Prior to the late 1950's, it was like this everywhere. The sticker in the window is called the Moroney sticker. Really! Dealers could, and still can, charge what ever they want. As long as the factory gets their price, the dealer can charge what they want. A government man by the name of Moroney )I told you that is what it's called!) noticed dealers were charging for options that weren't on the car. Ever since then dealers will usually charge the sticker price but you can dicker on it. High demand vehicles and they will charge more simply because of demand. I've heard of people buying a Mustang when they first came out, then resell it for more than they paid to someone who couldn't get one at the dealer. With the shortage of cars for sale now, I sold an old pickup and the people who brought him down wanted to buy my CX-5 for more than I paid for it 2 years ago. I like my car and don't want to sell it. Plus getting another would be problematic.
