Challenger because i believe that it really encompases very well the history and integrity of the Challenger through Looks alone... THe Viper would be nice to have but really i think the Challenger would be more comfortable and would still give the older Vipers a run for there money... The comment about the 6.1 LS2 GTO .... Sorry i would never buy that even for 31k it doesnt even resemble a REAL GTO... I would rather buy the new Camaro Concept coming out... oh same engine by the way with the 6 spd and it would rock the socks off of a lot of cars... That would be a great road test comparison... the new Challenger 6.1 425hp beast vs the Chevy Camaro LS2 400 hp... oh jease i cant imagine the possibilites of Road and Track and Car And Driver Magazines what they will do and how they will compare them... Just going to have to wait and see i guess lol

You could still find a real 1970 hemi challenger around for $40,000.It wont be one of those mint ones you see on tv auctions with 10 miles on them but who wants one of them anyway.you could never drive it and get your money back.

Do I get a shaker hood and a 6.4L Hemi for that price?

I think that $40 000 would be reasonable for the SRT-8 Challenger since that is quite close to what I paid for my SRT-8 Charger. I'm assuming that the Challenger will probably have a few more features yet than what the Charger currently has.

Sorry, but they are in two different markets. I don't think you can compare the two.

The point he is making is that the Corvette went for 38 grand. The Chevy super car, with over 400 hp...

If the heavy Challenger with the 6.1L goes for 40 grand... well you get the picture...

Well I think if yea can find a matching 1970 Hemi Challenger for $40,000 go buy it but I don't think you will find one...
I will sell yeaaa my Hemi 1970 Challenger for $300,000,I know I will get it,don't want to say much about the car because
some people will know who I am......
I would not buy any New Mopars because they alllll look like JUNK,I will look at the new Challenger,But will stick with my Stang Gt for now.As I will say a 440 Stock 6 Pack Challenger will beat a Stock Hemi Challenger anyday of the week............JT

If I could get a low mileage Viper GTS for that, I'd take it in a heartbeat over the new Challenger even though I love it as well. To me the Viper GTS is the perfect car.
