Gobs and Gobs of.........HP
After I had the SLP headers and exhaust installed yesterday I noticed the car gulping for air or not getting enough. It was also 87 degrees in sunny Austin. So I popped the hood up and saw that the Mopar CAI was in dire need of a recharge. All I could find was the K&N oil (red) and then noticed the air cleaner was not even tight against the pipe itself. It was barely holding on. Where do you buy the blue stuff??Well after a quick cleaning, recharge, tightening and some SC programming the car runs great. I can now melt the tires on this car. The cars pedal just keeps going w/ the new found power. I love it. Immediately went out to the street and raced an Orange 2002 Mustang GT and he pulled over after I killed him so bad. He did even turn down a street, he literally pulled off to the side of the road an waited for me to pass.SC programmer question:I have the tranny set for performance and it now does not shift on its own while in manual mode. Can I blow the engine up if I am not careful? It rev'ed out at 6k.
No, you upped your "speed" limiter, not the rev limiter. There is only "one" setting for increasing the shift point. Check and make sure you don't have it set for paddle shift only. Also, try the "sport" mode in the tranny settings. I think you'll like it much better than the "performance" mode.
