Welcome ondaslab.

Several on the forum have changed out thir HIDs, hopefully they will chime in once the holiday weekend is over. Personally I haven't done this yet. From what I've read in the pastit's plug-n-play.

The low beams are a tight fit so if you have large hands it might be problem. Other than that it's twist the bulb to unlock and remove.

i have a rt and i put some in mine and to get them in the drivers side you have to remove the air box and the pass side should go right in but be careful getting them out i twisted mine wrong and took me a hour to get the bulb to where it would come out

I have the K&N on mine so I was (barely) able to slide my hand in without removing the air filter. The original factory bulbs were pretty snug so do some fingertip pushups to get ready . CCW to remove, CW to install.
