Today my wife went out to take the kids to grandmas house and the charger started then died???? Tried to start again with the same results. The car sat for approx 5 hours and when I got home to look at it I noticed a steady red light lit (on continuously)just below the fuel guage (anti-theft system light) the wife couldnt remember if it was on or off when the problem first happened. WhenI got home I tried to start it and it startedand died (same thing)then Iwent through the steps to disarm the system in the owners manualand tried to start again and everything was good to go.
Anyone ever had a similar problem? I flashed HAL about a month ago with the Flashpak tuner could the flash be corrupt? Or was it some series of buttons/door left open etc.that may have disabled the vehicle through the security system??

Welcome to the I'm an idiot too club.... If you open the driver door with the key, the red light will go away. or you can reset your computer with a SuperChips programmer. Either way the security between your key and the car got crossed up, and the car won, signaling victory with the red light....

Just unlock the driver door with the key (how quaint)....

 

IXLR8's on the money, the same thing happend to me once. Took me a bit to figure it out but once I noticed that red light I knew what it was, the security system had tripped I used the key trick and all was well.
