Default Charger New Car Pricing

I'm in the process of looking for a replacement for my 98 Grand Prix GT and the Charger is one of the cars I am considering. I haven't test driven one yet, but I have been on the Dodge site configuring various models. How negotiable past invoice are these cars going for? I see they currently have a $2,500 rebate. I've read through afew posts here and see that some people get fantastic deals. I am hoping for an R/T with the Raod and Trackpackage if possible.

My charger is the first Dodge I've ever owned and I couldn't be happer with this car. Great performance, looks and decent mpg for a 340hp vehicle. Typically in my experciance you can easily negotiate at least 5-10% off the MSRP sticker. If you're truly lucky you can find a charger(R/T or SRT) which has been sitting on a dealers lot for an extended period of time. My neighbor just purchasrd an 07 Magnum SRT loaded minus the DVD for 31K plus Tx/lic due to the fact the car sat on the dealers lot for over a year. So there aredeals to be had...

As for me I deciede to purchased a used factory certified 06 Dodge Charger R/T loaded minus the rear seat DVD player for 25K & 19K miles. The cool thing with a factory certified vehicle is it comes with a 80K mile-8year warrenty. Not bad in my book.

Good luck with your search!

I use the consumers digest rule. If they won't come down 15% walk away, they'll call you. I've tried to get them to come down more with no success. That deal was on an 07 RT with leather. no sun roof, dvd, or nav. They came down to $25,000 but I couldn't get them to budge any more.

I've got a local dealer who regularly advertisesa new2006 R/T with sunroof and Convenience 2 package (totals sticker to 32k) for 25,900 they now are showing a 36K vehicle with nav and DVD for 28K. That's around 20% off, use that as a guide. The 2008's are on lots already my guess is they are itching to get rid of any 2006's still left.

See link if it works.

i'm fortunate enough to work for a company that has the supplier's discount for DC and because of this I've found it very tempting to purchase a black RT with R/T pkg. Has anyone else used a suppliers discount (aka preferred discount)? How good are the dealers with this?

Do they normally match invoice or lower? Idealy I'd like to purchase soon as there is a Black RT R/T 2007 w/sunroof20 miles from me and my RSX isn't getting any higer in trade in value (about $15K). I don't want a sunroof (maybe i'm one in the minority) any suggestions for bargaining this to a lower price?

Go to carbuyingtips.com and you'll find a bunch of info on how to get a good deal. I've gotten below invoice deals on my last two cars, a Mazda 6 and my TB Charger. Do your negotiating over the phone after you've emailed them a detailed offer and make sure you have financing lined up before you go in.

The only offer I've been given is $27,800 for a $34,000 R/T. I haven't pursued it too much as I would rather have an '06 Daytona for the same price.

thanks for the site carbuyingtips.com. i had a ton of free time at work yesterday and it really helped quell my fears about walking into the dealership.
