Default Getting my Charger tomorrow! -Marine Blue?

I'm getting my Dodge Charger tomorrow...my first Dodge! Should be quite different compared to the 3 Saturns I've owned before. I can't wait.
I decided on the SE model with the 3.5L V6. I test drove both...and the 2.7L just didn't cut it. I originally wanted black, but apparently they are impossible to get a hold of (at least if you want the 3.5 engine). So, I am going with the Marine Blue color. I've seen this color on a Caravan and a Magnum...but never on a Charger. Does anyone have one this color...or pics other than the ones on the Dodge website? I'm also thinking of getting chrome rims for this...any recommendations for what would look nice? The dealership is allowing me to pick whatever wheels I want at the local tire dealership!

The Marine Blue looks good - there were two of them at my local dealer and IMO they look very nice. If you get wheels I would not suggest anything bigger than 20s. Even with 20s it is gonna kill the performance. The car will "feel" a lot less powerful because of the added weight. Almost all the aftermarket wheels are 10 to 20 pounds heavyer than the stock wheels. It doesn`t sound like much but when you added them and the tires it gets pretty heavy. As far as tire choice you can go to "tirerack.com" and sample some tires made for the Charger, and I believe the color of your car aslo.
Enjoy your new ride.

Welcome! And congratulations! I think that is a great color! Wish it was available when I got mine. charginscott is right, don't go any bigger than 20" wheels. More so than the weight, thelarger diameter will hurt the performance, but will make the ride smoother.

Nice car, congrats! I also agree with Dave and Scott about the weight issue. "Unsprung weight" is what the wheel and tires are, and the lighter the better for performance. Also, with the stock 18's, you run about 35 PSI in the tires and have a higher sidewall, giving you a better ride. The 20's and bigger are 50 PSI tires and are stiffer. Also, in emergency situations, the high PSI tirestend to suddenly "break away" instead of squeal and areless controllable. Have fun with your new car!
