Hello, first post,

Just got a 08 Charger R/T.(LOVE IT) The car came with the single disc,sat and uconnect. I'm looking to upgrade to the 6.5 touch screen ren. I have a few questions about this first.

1) I called the dealer and they told me the ren would be "about" a grand. I have been looking on e-bay and have seen them as low a $400.00. Where is the recommended place to purchase one? (if there is one) I don't want to pay $1000.00 for the darn thing, but I don't want some ones throw away.

2) Will the new ren just swap out with the old radio? Is this something I can do myself? Are there any codes for the uconnect or the sat radio that need to be transfered?

I guess thats it. Any help would be great!!!!

Was just over at the dealer the other day gettin an oil change on my 07 R/T and saw the 08 black on black with the MYGIG - damn it, it dont fit the 07

i would recommend gettin it from the dealer, this way if there are any problems you can always take it back to them !

if you read what i just posted i ordered the nav system for mine off a private sale and am tryin to find out if i need anything else for mine, reason being for what i got it for ($700) and what the dealer the dealer wanted ($2200) i couldnt go wrong.

Dont know how the 08's be but the swap looks real simple behind all the plastic. IF you do go the dealer route i would ask them if there is anything else you need to make it work.

tool wise i think all you need is a screwdriver and a body removal tool to pry the plastic bezel off. you can get one at PEP BOYS (or whatever auto parts store you have where you live) for @ $7.00

Now you just got to start moddin it - new wheels, exhaust, tint, Diablo tuner, CAI - all the goodies alot of us already did to our rides and gotta post pics too
