I was talking to a guy at a car show about putting these remote control valves after my cats. he said that you can open the valve with the remote and it makes the car sound like open headers. Then u can close them with the remote as well. he also said they were in the $300 dollar range. Anybody heard of these. I'd love to know where to find them. I have a 2007 5.7 hemi with flowmaster exhaust, k&n air intake, Jet chip, 180 thermostat, and the throttle body spacer.

 

Cutouts have been around for quite a while. If you want an obnoxiously loud exhaust at a flip of a switch that's the way to go.

Just looking at your mods... put some money into a tuner you will not regret it.

 

where can i find these cutouts. I am interested in the tuner as well.. i heard bad things about them making the engine light stay on. is this true. but priority here is these cutouts, where can i find them?

 

Maybe some forum vendors will post up if they carry them. Summit or High Horse Performance might carry them.

Those cutouts will throw codes, the tuners I have had (SuperChips and Diablo) did not caused codes.

 

You can just Google "exhaust Cutouts" and then you will find many sites with the cutouts for your application. As for the tuner, don't you have the jet chip? They have been around for a long time and some require an exhaust shop to put them on.

I guess you can call the Jet Chip (stage I or II) a tuner but it's static and has been outclassed for some time by both SuperChips and Diablo. Go with a Diablo Predator, you will not regret it.
