Relace 5.7 Hemi with 426 Hemi
Anyone know what would be involved in replacing my 5.7 Hemi for my Charger R/T with a 426 Hemi?
I was looking seriously at the Saleen SMS 296 SuperCharger but for about $7500.00 for an expected 130HP boost (according to them) That seems steep. I would rather replace my enngine, tranny if I have to, beefed up drive train and brakes. The 426 Hemi is rated at 585HP
Here is what I am looking at? I have sent the company an email to see what kind of price tag is attached to that engine.

Arrington Engines replied with a complete turn key solution to include tuning for about $13,000. That is really not a bad price considering the Saleen SuperCharger was going to cost $7500 not including install or tuning.
The 426 Hemi (6.1 block) is rated at 585HP (drool). I followed up with another question to see if they expect to have this engine in production over the next two years. It is not in my budget for this but maybe next year or the year after.
This year I am adding a RamAirHood and Spoiler. Justing waiting for the snow to finally melt off up here in Minnesota so I can take my Charger out of hibernation
