Dodge ChargerThe Dodge Charger. The car that made its competitors shiver in the 60's is reborn in 2006 into a sleek sedan that can still send the competition home wimpering, the Dodge Charger.
Nick, I am wondering if the scoop rams outside air into the airbox. I am not wondering if it blows air on the sparkplug wires and dusts off the valve cover.
I hate how people call any spoiler on a car "rice", spoilers existed long before "rice" did, a spoiler like that is more retro muscle car if you as me, it's similar in style to the ones you see on some of the older muscle cars, know i've seen more than a few cuda's with that similar style, now if something like this was on it then it would be a "rice" spoiler.
Sorry, never been a fan of post-mounted spoilers (and I'm old enough to remember the originals, thank you very much). 99% of the time they interrupt the lines of the car, IMHO, and they give the impression of a tacked-on, JC Whitney "performance image" sort of thing. The lip spoiler on the 300 SRT-8 is much more tasteful, if you ask me. And the "rice" label is appropriate - in this day and age, add-on spoilers are one of the hallmarks of the ricer, and that's what it looks like to me. YMMV, of course.
The photoshopped black Charger with the full width grill and no spoiler looks pretty slick - I'd like to see what Dodge could do with that idea, really differentiate the SRT-8 from the regular production Charger.
i dont know why but this car is hell of hot i wanna know when it comes out onto the market to be purchased because its sounds like a cool graduation gift form my family.
damn great minds think alike. we were both born June 16th 87 and we both love the new charger. i want one for graduation too. to bad I'm still paying off my intrepid.
Any ideas on the MPG ratings on the SRT-8? I am all for the 420+ HP engine but if we are talking 15 city/18 highway, then it is probably time to rethink the bigger engine with gas prices the way they are today.
