The mixed up Chager
By accident I bought a Charger R/T 2006 which had been restored after an internal fire. Caused by that fire the complete interior had been replaced. Some of the parts however came from an SX and some from an X/T.
Certain functions donīt work like the central locking and the gauges.
I know that the door panels came from an SX and that the wiring has been modified to the wiring harness of the X/T - maybe thats the reason why the doorlocks doesnt work. I am not sure if the complete dash came out of an XT or not and I dont know where to find the label/ID.

The bad news is that you bought a car that has been rebuilt, the good news is that most of the parts are interchangeable between the model like the panels, guages, and wiring.
The bad news is that you bought a rebuilt car.... The reason I say this is that rebuilt cars have to be inspected and pass before being able to retitle the car. More bad news is that the car only has to pass really a frame inspection and safety inspection to pass. Hell, down here in Florida, even though seat belts are required to be worn by law, a car can get retitles with malfunctioning seat belts. So basically if your car was on fire and the whole interior has been replaced, I can only assume that you have more problems than you think.
I bet there is alot of splicing, exposed wires, and replaced wiring that doesn't meet specs for the electronics to work. I would also say that most of the electronics in there are from another wrecked Dodge or a feeble attempt to get the part to work until sold. Once sold, the seller has no responsibilities to the car.
I wouldn't worry to much about the panels and dash, I would worry more about removing the panels and dash and inspecting all the wiring. A fire can melt the insulated wrapping around the wire but still kinda appear that it is ok but in reality now causing a short in the circuit.
I would get some friends, tools, and a couple cases of beer together for a little weekend tear down and have eyes go all over that thing.

This car is going to be registered in Sweden, and There wonīt be any problems if gauges restraint system, ABS and so forth are working. The car-inspection is more interseted in that lights fulfill the EU-demands . Could anbody tell if the gauges of an SX are interchangable.
