Default Heating Issues

2006 Charger ls 5.7 Hemi. The car keeps overheating, and blew the hose off the radiator. Last time this happened it cost me 9 grand for a new motor because the old motor locked up due to abad sensor, that Dodge doesnt warranty. The motor has 43,000 miles on it. Any Ideas. My car is stuck in VA and I need to be able to get her home withough paying 250.00 plus for hauling. IS there something I am missing? I put the hose back on. I replaced the antifreeze that was lost, fans dont want to come on.thanks Craig

Welcome to the forum sixfeathers. Sorry to hear about the overheating.

You've found the first issue to overcome, the fans not running. Check the fan relays in the fuse box. Also make sure to bleed the radiator.

Just curious, what sensor went bad when the last engine blew?

Thanks. The first sensor to go was beleived to be the oil sensor.. The temerature sensors on the original , were faulty, and two of the pistons were bent slightly. at least thats what Chrysler told us. It was friggin nightmare. this car has been a PITA since the waranty expired.
