Default Steering wheel controls

My charger is a 09' SXT AWD, and did not come with steering wheel control buttons. Does anyone know if the steering wheel is pre-wired for them, like most newer Dodge vehicles? And if so, do you have to have the dealership perform the Starscan to activate the usage?

yes, yes, and yes. The steering wheel controls is not a DIY job. Assuming you still have the OEM stereo, you will need an OEM steering wheel and the computer will need to be told that it is there. If you have an aftermarket stereo, the steering wheel controls would be bypassed and the computer would be fooled that they aren't really there.

Excellent. Thank you for your information. It looks like I will be purchasing the button assemblies, installing them, and getting the dealer to Starscan it for me.
