Sirius Travel Link
Hi,
I purchased a 2011 Charger Max and am having trouble with the Travel Link. I have tried the dealer/Sirius and both seem be playing pass the buck with my question. I have seen reviews where it is stated that the 2011 Charger with the Uconnect 8.4N radio will provide weather maps; however, I can't find it on the radio. Does anyone here know IF it actually does provide this function? Sirius was absolutley no help and, when I called the dealer, they didn't seem to know anything at all about the travel link option.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I've never heard about it.
Just looked at Dodge.com, downloaded the manual and looked it over for ya and there is no mention of a traffic/weather option printed. Does you users manual state anything about the "travel link" option?
Also, if there is indeed this option available, it wouldn't be available through Sirius. They are just a radio station company. They will probably tell you to tune to a certain station to get the weather. The option would have to offered by the mfg of the radio in sync with the GPS program. Not sure the details on that one.
If your manual does state something about the travel link option, let me know and I will look more into for ya.

Hello Fellow Steelers Fan! Thanks for the reply. I also checked the manual and saw nothing. I am trying to find out about it because I've seen it stated in several reviews and on some Dodge dealer websites. Also on the Sirius.com Travel Link page it shows radar images. Here is a quote from a Dodge dealership webpage:
"The Charger's interior has also received a makeover, with handsome styling and soft-touch materials. The list of standard features and options has been substantially upgraded and now includes the latest high-tech bells and whistles, including the Sirius Travel Link service that accesses info from local gas prices to live weather radar images."
So, I'm kind of confused.
If you see anything else, please let me know.
Thanks again!

Like him, I have the forecast, but no maps that I've seen. I really just found the weather yesterday though to be honest however..
Hi,
Just an update. Called Dodge, long story, short, supposedly a software update is going to be coming out for the radio. I hope so because, while the system does a lot of nice things it seems, as another member said, a step backward in some regard. (ie. also no traffic) Just a bit disappointing especially when you see supposedly "less sophisticated" radios doing these things.
Anyway, just thought I would report what I found out.
Thanks
