Default P0403 and P0406 Codes on a 2.7l 2007 Charger

Right before I had to get my car inspected (figures) my check engine light came on, and my car gave us the code P0403. After some research we found that it meant the EGR valve... so we replaced it. Now the check engine light is still on and it is not only throwing the P0403 but also the P0406 code as well.

I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction so I can get my baby fixed and inspected.

2.7L

if there is anything else you need to know so that you could help let me know. I just want to find out how to fix this and be done.. thank you!

You probably have an air leak around the tube where it goes into the plenum. There is a blue ring seal and they split if you try and reuse them.

You get it solved? The second code (P0406) is the gas recirculation sensor itself showing an error. As TNtech said check the tube, also try resetting the ECM and see if the CEL goes out.
