Default 2009 R/T key trick?

Just recently bought a 2009 Dodge Charger R/T with the road and track package. Now when I do the key trick to disable ESP/BAS and traction control the lights come on the dash. But the system does not disable. I can spin the tires for 2 seconds doing a brake stand than it cuts engine power and stops the wheels from spinning. I can't even get the car sideways or do a doughnut. Why is this, heres a pic by the way.

Why not just turn it off with the button on the dash?

The key trick was limited to a couple model years.

Disabling EPS on the dash does not disable this feature 100%, except for SRT models. It can still self override the disabled feature if necessary.

Is that safe. If it is I'm all over this as I have the same car and still get upset with the fact I can't disable the traction control.

Why not? most cars made before 2000 don't have ABS.
and Traction Control are Mandatory after 2008.
The Dodge Viper never had ABS or Traction control until 2013.

Tho, I do not recommend you to disable it in bad weather like Rain or Snow.
