Recently my 07 charger has been acting funny... three nights ago I tried to start it, it wouldn't start tried three times and finally started. The next day while i was just sitting at the atm it randomly shut down... it continued to do this 3 times with about 5 minutes in between each time with no check engine light... ever since then it just keeps shutting down but never while i am actually driving always while i am pushing the brake. Now the check engine light is on... i live in a little town and the mechanic can't look at it for another 3 days... has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what it could be? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

 

Cycle the key ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, within 6 second, now read ALL the codes displayed on your odometer, and report back to us.
It is usually called the Chrysler Key Dance to pull the CEL without any tools.

 

just did this and no codes appeared on the odometer

 

If the CEL is ON, there HAS TO BE A CODE.
Does the Odometer just say "DONE" ? If it doesn't, then you are doing it wrong, so do it again.

weird, then you probably have to head to local Part store to read the codes for free then. Other wise, you might just have to head to ur mechanic.

 

when it wouldnt start it did crank... it starts just fine now just randomly shuts off sometimes when i take my foot off of the gas
