Default 2011 change oil message won't go off

In my 2011 after I changed my oil I did what the owners manual said about resetting the oil change reminder message but it is still coming on. Anybody else had this problem?

Is the 2011 the same as others where you turn the key to the on position and press the gas 3x's?

Fire,

Were you able to get the oil change indicator to turn off? If the indicator message continues to illuminate when you start the vehicle, after completing the procedure, the system did not reset and I would recommend repeating the procedure as follows:

1. Cycle the ignition to the ON/RUN position. (Do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly 3 times within 10 seconds.
3. Cycle the ignition to the OFF position.
(page 291 in the Owner's Manual)

If you have completed this procedure a few times and the indicator is still on I would suggest contacting your Dodge dealer for further review. If you have any inquiries feel free to PM me.

Make sure when you turn the key to the on position that you wait a few seconds for the system to boot up before depressing the pedal. If you turn the key to on and then immediately start pushing the pedal down it may not recognize it. A good rule of thumb is to turn the key on, let the lights on the dash all illuminate, then depress the pedal 3 times. Let us know if you get it to work.

It can be tricky. Heck, it always takes me 2 or 3 times before I get it to stick.
