07 Charger ETC Light On /Wont start
NAME: DEANDRE
**UPDATE**
Last week my car was shaking and after getting a diagnostic test from Car America (formally Laurel Dodge) they told me that the code came back as a misfire (P0301). The mechanic said all I needed was a tune-up so I agreed only because my car mileage is near 150,000. 7 days later my car engine light comes back on with the ETC light flashing causing another headache and a strain on my life. Yesterday the manger told me to bring the car to the dealership and that they will look over the car for free to determine whats wrong with the car. Today since the car failed to start I had it towed there all to find out from Car America that my radiator and thermostat needs replacing. Also my oil is very low and the coolant level was empty. Since I don' know much about cars do the radiator and thermostat play any role in causing my car to misfire? My last question would be after getting the two parts replaced will this correct the ETC light and allow me to drive my car finally?

First of all, What engine size.
2nd of all, did the vehicle overheat? and did you kept driving it when it overheat up to a point where it dies and will not restart? If you have, you might have just destroyed the engine.
3rd, fixing the Cooling system problem WILL fix your ETC light.
And Mis-fire usually has nothing to do with cooling system, Unless it was severely overheated. if your car went in mis-firing, and no longer doing it after the tune up, then it is probably fix.
Also, 150k miles is a lot of mile, and I wouldn't expect it to be trouble free.

QUESTION 1: ENGINE: 2.7L
QUESTION 2: The car did not overheat to my knowledge as there was no other indicators on the dash. When the dealership called me they did say that the car started and that they drove in around the block a few times. It seems to me that the car start periodically.
Question 3: As for overheating the car seemed to only be start in the mornings.
