I owned a 1970 Plymouth Superbird, in 1971 I visited the California Highway Patrol Academy, and spent the day on the Emergency Vehicle Operation Control (EVOC) Track, the Highway Patrol were still using the 1969 Dodge Polaras equipped with the 440 cu inch engine, the official top speed was 147 mph, that was the fastest 4 door police vehicle until the 2006 Charger reached 150 mph.
