Default Need some help here

I just bought a 2007 Charger , 2.7 yea I have heard mistake on the 2.7 but, my problem is, it was running perfect and last few days when it sits over night and i start it the next day i get mad lifter ticking,that does NOT go right away, I have the correct oil, and a new filter,does this engine have a oil pump or sending unit in it? i have been around cars my entire life and I have seen startup lifter ticking ,but this isnt it, i drove it today 10 miles before it went away and that was after i turned it off and restarted it its went silent and running perfect again, can any one help with info on this?

It might not be a lifter. It could possibly be the primary tensioner not building up oil pressure, in which case a catastrophic timing chain failure might be in your future.

Default 2.7 lack of oil @ lifters

I appreciate the help ,I will immediatly inspect the primary tensioner pulley,and advise..

I meant timing chain primary. It's internal. Don't mess with it if you've never done one. Of course I would have to hear it.

Thanks for the help (Question) there is obvesiously not enough oil going to the top of the motor , ,is there a oil pressure switch or sending unit that could cause this ??

Yes, the switch is on the side of the engine. It won't do anything to the actual pressure though. You probably have a light for it, so you'll need a gauge to see what it is.

Default 2006 Charger ticking at startup and didnt go away

well im glad to say I found the problem , under the valve cover there was a roller rocker in the back that was loose from a valve lifter not expanding and doing its job , needless to say it made the engine loud and run like crap from not operating the valve, I took it out and replaced
(just the bad one) and its running great..
