Default How fast should my sedan go???

I have a 2008 Dodge Charger Sedan and I got it to go 140MPH which with a standard sedan isn't the fastest it should go right. I mean it was a cop car and I would think the rev limiter would have been removed. However I stopped the car at 140MPH which means the car can go faster than that. How fast is this 3.5 v6 5 speed automatic able to go?

Not sure what the 3.5 was set at but I know the RT was set at 156. Even though your car was a cop car, most of them get reprogrammed before going back to the public. Your car should be around 140 somewhere because of the tire that come with it. The tires on the 3.5 were not Z rated tires which are the ones you want for exceeding the 150 mph speed.

The tires on the car are Police issue tires and are Z rated Cooper tires.

Well, you have crazy in your name, go find out and let us know. LOL!!!

The only reason I know about the RT is I raced an SRT and lost for that reason.

As long as the tires are rated for it, go for it. My factory speed limiter is set to 155, I lowered with the DSP to 125 because the tires that came with it are only H (130)rated...tire unraveling at that speed makes for a VERY bad day.
