Hello All new to this site and in need of some assistance if possible...


I have a new 2014 Dodge Charger R/T Max AWD (Loving it) and want to do a Mobile integration with factory remote start. Basically DBall unit with a Viper Smart Start GPS. The issue I am encountering is that no shop or installer has information on the 2014 models yet as Directed (company who makes all these modules) has not updated their database to cover the 2014 models as of yet. I have contacted them in Canada but to no avail they haven't confirmed the 2014 models yet.


So the question presented here is... Would anyone know if there were any major changes between the 2013's and 2014's specifically with the remote start and the UConnect system that a Smart Start system branded for 2013 model year would not work in the 2014 model year?


Any help on this would be very much appreciated as I have my hands full of willing installers but lack of information is killing the deal right now.

I wish I could tell you for sure but my guess is that there's probably minimal if any changes between a 2014 and a 2013. Tough situation. Wait until you get a hold of someone and get confirmation, or take the risk and risk it not working.
